The Daughter Of The River

Small and slender like a moonlit flower against the dark blue sky filled with stars. She stood there with one hand stretched towards me , smiling. Her long golden hair rippled down her shoulders and gently moved in the breeze - her delicate dress was green, green as young reeds, shot with silver beads of dew; and her belt was of gold, shaped like a chain of flag-lilies set with the pale-blue eyes of forget-me-nots. Delicate sandals of gold and silver, she was there in the midst of pond - there is no creature in Middle-earth more fair and more beautiful than Goldberry, The Daughter of The River.
