A meeting, a twin, and capture

Oh my, where did I leave off? So much has happened between now and last we met. Forgive me for being away so long, my life has seemed to become complicated. Deaths of old friends, births to see attend. Not only do I sit and tell stories of people from the past, but I see over those of the living as well. So many new stories ending and stopping each day. It has become a chore to keep up with so many. Ah yes, you are here to hear about Falra yes? Let me see, I think the last we heard of her was when her young man entered into her life. Shame about that one, oh but I give hints to things later told, let me go on with what happened to her and how a chance meeting twisted her fate.

Our deaf lass had a number of things she loved to do with her new found freedom, one was drawing. She drew those around her but it was the sights she loved the most. She had seen so many places but never able to stop and enjoy them, now was her chance. She packed up her sketchbook and drawing implements and headed off to a many tiered waterfall she had always loved to look at. The waterfall wasn't too far outside of Bree Town either and the day was so nice. Little did she know that she'd find more than what she had hopes, oh so much more.

You see, she knew that her past could come back at her. Knew that some of those that held her in the lands where sand and rock melted got away from Bear. She was trained to push such things from her mind. Pain was just what you allowed it to be, sorrow and regret had no room in her life. These were the things taught to her by her slavers.

As she sat there drawing what she saw a shadow crossed over her work, her first thought was to flee, second was to fight. There was no way to flee so she grabbed for the dagger she kept in her boot, to her surprise the face she spun on to attack was that of the very man that had found a crack in wall around her heart, one that Drunn had created with his kindness and understanding. He caught her arm with ease and pulled her into a hug, his face at first showed signs of worry, but soon faded as he saw she was alright. They sat and spoke in her silent manner, using hands instead of voice. So went her day till the conversation came to them, like before he managed to push her away, this time so far that it nearly took her life.

I can only tell you the stories as they were told to me, by those people I speak of now. Oh yes, I knew Falra, I even know her full name, something few ever knew. When she left Acelin on the overlook to the waterfall, she managed to run smack dab into one of the very men she never hoped to see again. She never knew their names, only that the twins held her in captivity, used her body and mind to make a fortune. She carried this man's child within her, watched as it was pulled from her... ah again, something she forced from her mind. At this time she only knew that she carried his child and that she had lost it. The trauma of such an event managed to lock itself behind a thick wall in her mind. Now here he was, the father of her child, a man that taught her what love, betrayal,  and pain was. It was he who she hated the most, even though his brother had marked her, he was the one that allowed it to be done. Allowed his brother to sell her over and over, all while professing his love and adoration for her. She was a slave trapped in a gilded cage again.

She turned to flee but was caught, rough hands pulling her to the ground, tying her up and hoisting her onto the back of a horse. She knew not what was said all around her, her head covered. This man knew her secret, knew she could read every word spoken if she could see their lips. All she could think to do was let out a scream like no other, in hopes that the very man that sent her away would hear it and come looking. I feared for Falra at this time, and I will leave you to fear for her as well. The sky grows dark, my eyes heavy. I've another mother to see tomorrow, perhaps she will deliver early and I can finish this tale. Till then..
