The mountain and Yule

What more can a man ask? I'm sitting in the Drunkard's Study in my office, a cup of hot tea on my desk, the fireplace next to me and ahead I see the rest of the mountain, covered by snow. Yule is here, with its cold and the snow. I enjoy my walks around the mountain and in Thorin's Hall. It's still a strange sight for the Dwarves to see Men and Elves here frequently but it won't be long till we go. Till then I will enjoy it...

Walking towards the gate makes me excited every time, I long for the time that the gates will open and I will get into the mountain. Every time I look around with bated breath, the formations on the rocks, the crystals, the waterfalls, and now the snow... The Southeast part of the mountain is snowy as if it has been snowing into the mountain, that's I can see from my position. It's a sight that everyone has to enjoy...

So far our numbers are gettng high, Elves and Dwarves joined us, almost everyone shares the same purpose, fight evil, clear the streets, defend those in need. Even a fifteen year old girl came to join us, for her reasons of course, but I took her inn, she's young and naive, undisciplined, a Bree-lander, a villager with no manners that has to be shaped, I have no doubts that she will be a fine warrior one day but until then I have to be patient!

In seven days we will travel to the East. We are to meet at the Forsaken Inn and then unfold our trap in Haragmar to capture those emissaries. At the same time we must avoid the orcish company that will be entering Lone-Lands, we must act fast and silent. Deorgast will be keeping watch for the orcs while Nelthadhras and Rogue will be sent ahead to scout the land. The rest will remain behind so that we take up action when we are all in position. If all goes well we will make it out without having to fight, just grab them and leave for questioning. We must learn where they come from...

We must find the source of all them and the emissaries are our best chance, it seems that the brigands do not know, they're mere men after all, not to be trusted, so we aim for the higher ones. Once we learn we will plan our next move carefully...

Oh... I have to refill my pipe!
