Welcome again into my home. What treats did you bring today? Ah tea and the meat pie I was craving so much. Thank you for your kindness to this old woman. I'm sure you're waiting to hear what happened to Falra in her new home. Well...
...As Bear and Falra approached the small town of Bree, she told me her first thought was that it was unlike any town she had seen before. Most of her so called jobs were done in small homes outside most towns, or large garish homes of men full of themselves as they conducted business, or in the case of getting time spent with her, sold rights to it, in their large overgrown towns. No, our small town of Bree here was different than any other. It held within its walls a crossroad to everywhere. This allows sight of people from all over. For the first time, Falra saw Eldar without shackles nor cage to contain them. Small people that they gave name to as 'Hobbit'. These Hobbits were something all together new to her. At first glance she had thought them to be children but their eyes told otherwise.
This was where Bear chose for her to stay, to hide from her past and make something, or someone new of herself. He paid Mr. Butterbur enough to allow her room and board for two months. I'm sure he already understood what kind of person Falra was. Her skill as a healer would fetch her coin soon enough. If not that, her skill of hunting and gathering meats and hides should turn enough profit for her to soon afford a small home, as well as provide food enough to eat.
So it was that she was left in the Prancing Pony, alone. She knew no one, but that quickly changed. One of the first people she met was a short man, not much taller than she was. Later it was learned that he too shared the marks of shackles on his wrist. What he did not share was the mar on her face. Instead his marks were dashed across his back. Like her, it was his father that brought him into slavery. This was where their similarities ended though. Her new friend Goldgel still held feelings for his father, where Falra knew naught of hers. He had a network of family that would come visit him, even had the luck of his youngest son come to live with him. So marked the time of friendship between them. Little did she know then that her new friend held a dark side, one he hid from her.
Ah but I am not here to tell you tales of Gold my dear, so we will end our story of him, only to make mention where he is needed. For now, it is time to sit and enjoy this fine snack you brought for us. Come, join me in a cup of tea and some meat pies. You out did yourself this day, I thank you for that. Once we have eaten and if you are lucky, I may share with you something special.
