"The loss of one dear friend and oddly, father figure, is blessed with the entry of a daughter."
A knock on the door sounded through the large house, as Terralynn pushes herself up off the chair, hand rubbing her belly to help calm the child within, she answers it, only to find a red headed woman around her own age standing at the bottom of the stairs.
"Forgive me Terra, I'm Azz's sister Geth."
Looking at the young woman with curiously, recognition finally crosses Ter's eyes, it made sense, they looked much alike, "oh, Azz told me you were staying with her at the house. How can I help you Geth?"
Gethan held out an envelope to her, requiring Terra to step down to the lower step to retrieve it. "It must have gotten mixed up in Azz's paperwork. I found it today when I was looking for her order's list. She's been doing quite well with her mixtures and ointments."
"Thank you Geth. Give a kiss to Marigold for me. She is so sweet. Tell that father of hers he best treat her like a princess or I'll hunt him down."
With a laugh, Geth only replied, "You and so many others. Good day Miss Terra."
After watching Geth vanish down the road, Terra opened the letter, within was sad news. Hardoleth, her Captain and in some ways the only real father figure she had ever had, passed away. This sad news brought tears to her eyes as she fell to the stairs and wept, rain bursting from the sky as if to hide her tears.
Shortly Fastdred approached the house, seeing Ter craddling her belly, her eyes red. Looking up and seeing Dred there, she held up the rain sodden letter to him. Sitting down next to her and wrapping an arm around her, he took the letter, not looking at it yet, "What's wrong love?"
Terra could only get out one word, "Hardo," before her small body was wracked with pain and she cried out. Dred looked at Terra with alarm as she cried out in pain, picking her up as gently as he could and moved her out of the rain and into the house.
Within their home, her pains came more quickly, some blood could be seen mixed with the drops of water coming off her skirts. Becoming more alarmed, Dred gathered everything Ter called out to him from her experience by Neyaa's side on two other births. Dred was frantic, not knowing what to do, luckily he was saved as Terra's cousin, Tali barged through the door.
Tali quickly took over, helping to bring in a baby girl, nearly a month too soon, but healthy. Dred and Terra named her Kynna, meaning Love and affection.
"Though the Dawn lost it's leader, Hardoleth will be forever remembered, both loved and hated. For Terra, he was the man that took her Father's head and she adored him for it."
