The air was full of the sun-warmed smell of freshly cut grasses and flowers, the honey sweet perfume of May in Rivendell. On the rolling slopes, lamb, calves, foals, and elven children were playing in the light of a glorious sunset. There may have been days when it was cold or cloudy, or rainy in Rivendell, but in truth , no one ever remember those days....
