Old Scag pulled me to the side tonight for a little chat. Seems I near scared the life out of him. The silly old man should be resting right now, he took an arrow to the shoulder during an orc raid today. But he wouldn't have any part of it till he got to speak to me alone. He asked the oddest thing though, he asked if I knew why my eyes start turn blue when I fight.
Why is this so odd you might ask my little friend, well my eyes are emerald green eyed girl a few times after father worked her over. It was after he asked me this that it started to make sense. There were other times people had mentioned something about blue eyes, that handsome smith apprentice for one. What was it we were talking about that night though... Oh I remember, it was the day after I learned he was brining mum down to the smith. Alright, I've trailed off topic too much...
Old Scag told me that when he went down, that my eyes bleed full blue as I jumped to his side to keep the orcs at bay. I'll be punished for leaving my post but Frims had it covered. Not like any of them broke through the front lines with the other six there. I'll take my punishment though. I can't let Old Scag look weak. I am happy. in some part that the group as a whole will decide my fate.
I always thought the vote was a strange way to decide if a member should be punished and how. Now I find myself thankful for it. I'll fill you in tomorrow, that is if I can write still.
