Love for a Father

My dearest Faðir,

I write to you this letter on the 2nd of Ringarë and I hope that Dwarf Regún's messenger is as fast as he claimed; that these words will have reached you ere the very coming of festive Yule.
I would tell you where I am now, where I walked and where my steps will yet take me, but I was forbidden from doing so - both my host and my guide for the wild lands ahead have their good reasons to keep the roads taken a secret and I must honor their request.
But please, Faðir, do not let your heart tremble in the fear of ill fate meeting me, for I write you to let you know that I am most well and that I have learned already much on my way and that I found understanding of so some thing that you told me under Jarnsalr's roof that I could not apprehend yet.
There is no saying about the time of my return, nor what perilous lands I might walk, but let Yule pass with the knowledge of your daughter's love. Once we will see one another again, let Béma have blessed me with the wisdom and power of a world-strider and word-weaver such as you are.

Give Mother my love,

Frøydis
