You gaze over the lush green plains of Lamedon, the Ciril to your left and weather beaten hills dotted by the occasional patch of trees to your right.
Your eyes turn to a steep hill stretching up at least a hundred metres. High on this rocky hill towering above the valley a castle abruptly springs into the eye. The brownish white stones reflecting sunlight as bright as a mirror would.
A large half cobble-half smooth stone outer wall dominates the structure and makes it impossible for you to see the what lies within. The rooftops of the great hall and its towers peek over the wall to give you just a glimpse of the splendour that lies beyond the wall.
One with the hill, the castle sinks in well with the landscape and stands ever welcoming as it does vigilant. This castle goes by the name of Dor-Hallas, the home of the Bear.
The sanctuary of the House Bregion.
On the eaves of the hill lie a handful of villages, some almost connected but easy to tell apart. At the waterside edge of the hill, a small port shows a glimpse of existence. . . Here a small fleet of docked trading galleys lie in wait to receive their next cargo load. You wonder where they are headed.
Before you notice hours of observing the landscaped filled with thriving activity have passed, and the sun has set. In the distance, great pyres shine their light on the grand orange tapestry’s marked by the ever watchful black bear as they hang from the castle walls. . .
Belethui Bregion
A heart will long for its home.
