The Bregion Chronicles

Introduction;

To maintain our families lineage and to preserve the many scriptures of our family I, Belethui Bregion have decided to rewrite our greatest works, so that my children’s children may yet learn from the glories, and the mistakes of his or her ancestors.

For I cannot be sure what is fiction and what is fact, I have decided to leave that up to anyone who reads these chronicles in hope that they will nonetheless learn something from the stories.

And I would like to add that some works have begun to decay to such a state that I cannot be certain what the author literally wrote, and as such there is of course certain guesswork involved.

Dynasty founder;

• Bregion Greyshield.

In the year 886 of the third age,

His sons where the first to use the surname Bregion
though the line lays broken on many points from those early years.
The houses name first appears in those days and as such we will use this date as the starting point of our dynasty, though I find it highly likely that we are in no relation to them.

In my belief the name has been passed from house to house which settled in roughly the same area within Lamedon. The houses took the name Bregion to lay claim to whatever the previous house had left behind, namely; small castles, villages, and farmlands.

In the year 2902 of the third age.

We use the term Berethel Bregions here simply to differentiate ourselves from the house Bregion, though in common conversation Berethel-prefix is not added to the family name.
