Songs and poetry:The soldier

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Poetry

For Kin, Lord and Duty, for Justice or around her,
A step, then one more, a hit and a counter
You shatter in pain and fall to a knee
Is it of anger or blood the curtain you  see?

But defeated is only the one who stays down!
While breathing, stand up, uphold your renown!
Don't die in a way that you learned to condemn
You stand up, brace yourself and go back at THEM!

How do you say farewell to an adversary? How do you come to terms with the fact that an enemy has journeyed on to the next life? Sadness and sorrow for the loss of a life? Rejoicing that your own life is now safe and free from further ache and torment? Would you feel nothing?

Reiven read the note for a second or third time which was telling her to turn in the sword to Lord Veryacano.

“What is that?” Volina asked as she walked in to the room.

“It’s nothing…” Reiven gave her a slight smile then asked after a brief pause “Everything ready?”

Volina nodded slowly extending a vial to her.

She was feeling all alone…

Like an empty sea shell.

Away from her home, her friends…

Away from Teremonth…

Although under the cover of the night she couldn’t really tell the difference of the view outside the window, she still was feeling it deep in her heart.

“I disappointed him…”

And did he not disappoint you?”

Rivendell. When walking the imposing halls of the Lord Elrond, when listening fragments of small talk of the beautiful Eldar of the Valley, when loosing the turmoil of my thoughts and fears in that of the waterfall, when its drops merge tears making them cold as snowflakes on my face instead of burning fire I can almost forget. For a whole second at least..

Flames are dancing around the branches with a soft, sweet whispering as my thoughts wandering in the well of words…

Soft breeze is sweeping over the long green grasses, shaking the leaves of old oaks which surround us…

And I am listening…

I am watching…

I am hearing the gentle steps of Lady Rainiths’ bare feet, so soft… even timid

a Dream, a Call and a Warning - (Chronicles of a Sword)

Reiven looked at her own reflection on the mirror. No scars, no age lines, nothing from the past years…  “Nothing”  she thought and her looks fell down to her palm where she can still see the thin line of the cut. It was healing fast and she knew it will disappear soon enough.

I ran for hours. I know the surroundings here like few do, yet I wanted to put some distance to the settlement and silence my yelling contradictory thoughts. Most probably no one will find me unless I chose to allow it. I look critic to the path behind me and no, I did no mistake.

“What am I to do with you??”

Thirst of the Sword - (Chronicles of a Sword)

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Teremonth was sleeping quietly next to her. Reiven watched him breathing steadily yet she couldn’t dare to fall asleep. It was her watch to wait for him, to hold his hand, to whisper gentle words in his ear for chasing off his nightmares. Two nights he told her, for two nights he couldn’t sleep. His face was so pale and eyes looked restless he didn’t need to say a word that Reiven didn’t know.
