A Sixth Letter to Lord Anglachelm of Bar-en-Vanimar

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Official Document

My Lord has heard Lord Veryacano say that I arrived to talk the company out of searching for him. I say that this is a wrong-headed assumption, and the reasons for my accompaniment were to gather news for the remainder of the House waiting impatiently in Imladris, and secondarily, to see what resulted from his leadership.

Finding our missing lord

I am taking advantage of the fact that everyone is sleeping or at least out of sight and lord Anglachelm seems stable to put on paper the events of the day.

And what a day...

After leaving most of our things in that abandoned place close to the fortress, we entered Dol Guldur (I got writing supply from an elf at the camp we are in now). Did I mention it was a foolish, suicidal attempt ? Well, for all the dangers we were in, we are all still alive, surprisingly.

Leaving Rohan

Believing that Lord Anglachelm was taken north towards the Southern Greenwood, we made shift as well as we could to reach the Great River through the bluffs of the Horse-Men, and after a day of hard travel, we arrived at a hillside overlooking a camp. It was full of swarthy Easterlings, and by a gilt-fringed tent stood a tall and robust Man, with dark, expressive eyes, and a sneering countenance.

The more we go on this quest of ours, the more I find that I wish I lived alone somewhere with no one around at less than a day of travel.

I see only one good thing that happened today : lady Nirhen finally awoke. I was beginning to worry since the longer she was unconscious the more likely it was that there was lasting after-effect of that hit on the head. Honestly, I didn't think lord Tindir was strong enough to do that but... We were lucky, or rather, lady Nirhen was lucky. The only after-effect she suffered from was nausea, and a headache.

Day 25: Guard-Duty

Diary

We set out from the Tauremorna, and ventured past the doomed hill-top village, the wind blowing very hard across the grasses. Here the land is exceeding good, but the people run great risks in settling on account of the Enemy: which we avoided, and our passing went unnoticed. We walked about five miles farther, where we came to a large grassy plain. We saw several wild beasts, which I went up to as near as possible without danger, and I counted six bears, and we found the remains of several cows something had killed and half-eaten.

Day 24 - A Difficult Recovery

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

On the 24th day, we left that swampy part of the Tauremorna when Lord Veryacano led us away under the trees and across a small river to the southeast. He seemed puzzled, as if something he expected never came into sight, and would often pull out the map that he copied from Grimbold’s men, and stare at it blankly.

Day 23 - Into The Tauremorna

Diary

There being no way to cross the fords of the Isen, because of the invasion of Men, it was determined by Lord Veryacano that we would make our own crossing, and he bravely waded into its icy waters to secure a rope bridge. The River Isen is large and swift-flowing; and it was with great difficulty Lord Veryacano got through it: sometimes he would be in the waters up to his neck, but by good fortune, and his mighty strength, he was able to cross over.

day 21 - morning

I was still thinking about my healing supply and about how I could reduce the time of preparation to finish three of my antidotes sooner rather than later when I joined lord Tindir, lady Himwen, lady Nirhen and Telpenaro.

Lady Himwen asked about my work, if I had the time to finish it. Well, for the moment yes, as some preparations needed some rest during the fabrication process and I was sadly at this point on them.

day 20

Story

I was enjoying doing nothing for once, in relative peace as lord Veryacano was nowhere in sight and Parnard was well enough last time I checked on him, when I noticed lady Nirhen close by. I knew she wouldn't answer, and would probably see it as an annoyance, but I couldn't resist asking her if she was well, it was too tempting. She didn't answer, as was expected, though she didn't ignore me completely which, I'll admit, surprised me.
