A Rose that Blooms Again (Part 1)

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Garrocar leaned back against a big tree, enjoying the warmth still given by the afternoon sun. Winter was nearing now and soon it would not be possible to sit here like this. As he watched one of the last of the leaves whirling it’s way down to the earth, he thought back of the recent events in his young life.

Opening up, lowering defences

What have I done? I took a big risk. I could have lost a lot that is dear to me and maybe I still can. What I did goes against all my guardian training: I lowered my defenses and opened up.

Beneath The Surface

Dark clouds drifted across the sky above the village, obscuring the stars. A distant bell tolled the midnight message for the slumbering Shire. Fresh drizzle  was falling over the fields, and woodland as a cold Autumn wind blew. Beneath what was once known as Shire Rose's Hall, candles burned bright in their stands. The secret cavern hole reachable only by using a hidden passage in the in the Delving Fields, on the north side of the village of Bramblebury.

A dangerous journey

The day Shire Rose's Hall was opened, I had an important task: I had to carry part of the gold needed for the puchase to Cousin yule. Why I ever decided to store it in the Bree vaults, is beyond me now. But I had no choice but to travel to Bree Town and collect it. It was a nice day for travelling, so I did not mind and neither did my pony Avornbelt who is always keen on running long stretches.

Time to connect to others

Ow, I love my life! I have never regretted leaving Oatbarton. Compared to where I've been so far, Oatbarton is a stuffy, dusty world of it's own with no conecction to the outside that are worth mentioning. I do have fond memories of that place and I do miss my parents and other friends and relatives that are still there. But no, I have no regrets.

A busy day it was

With Miss yule giving helpful directions, I helped her set up a message board today. Now, my hands are more used to a smithing hammer then to a carpenter's tool, but after bending a few nails, I got the hang of it and it was fun. She did most of the constructive and design work, being  a woodsman and used to this kind of work, but I helped out where I could and was given the honour of posting the first message on it.
