Tiao Sunketsu, The Leaping Monkey, is a man of average stature, sometimes wearing mismatched clothing or armor. For example, his boots and gauntlets could be of dwarven craft, while his cloak might seem to be elven-made, with everything else bearing an even stranger, more foreign look. 

For travelers who consider themselves more than well-travelled, they might recognize Tiao's accent and pieces of his most commonly worn apparel to be of South-Eastern genesis—far South-Eastern.

And then, of course, there is Tiao's subtly golden gaze, his red-brown hair, and his darker-than-normal complexion—all of which only adds to either the question of, or the answer to his origin.
