Haradrim Healer, Mumak keeper
A flash of red upon a white stag, Riding through great woodlands, over lakes and atop mountains
~Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.~
Born Adia, a Warrior.
A proud member of her Tribe, located deep within the Jungles of Far Harad: where the Great Mûmakil beasts roam and the Sun's blazing glory is only ever eclipsed by the glimmering wonder of a brilliant night sky.
An affinity for nature and fighting prowess led to Adia being drafted into the N'Nonmiton (All-female military regiment) and specialised into the Gohento (Archers) and Nyekplohento (Reapers) when she was a young girl. Along with the other women of her tribe, they became a lethal and feared fighting force: skilled with blade, bow and tamers of the unstoppable Mûmakil.
Under the guidance of her Father, Adia became experienced in the mythos of her people, the herblore, traditions and way of life; and as her skill and character grew, she would actively participate in both the conflicts and treaties between neighbouring tribes. Generally good-humored and with often a kind word to disclose: she easily got on with her fellow tribe members; however, as of late she appears to be more distant and is never quick to trust.
The time came for when the youth of the tribe transitioned into adulthood and Adia was initiated as a full member of her people, acquiring the unique white markings on her face symbolising the responsibilities she would now undertake and the authority she held as a Mûmak-War-Reaper (but there is another meaning behind the pattern which you may come to learn should you befriend her).
Not long after -with Adia’s Tribe failing to resist the growing pressure from Mordor and succumbing to the increasing Influence of Sauron- the N’nonmiton were driven to make the arduous journey to the more central regions of Middle Earth and were pressed into the service of the Black Army for the War of the Ring. So it came to pass, that a dark chapter of Adia’s life had begun.
Having suffered great loss after many months of war and bloodshed, Adia became disillusioned, and (accompanied by a young Mûmak Calf) she fled from the dark lands of Mordor and sought out her own path.
Taking on a new name: Melyrn, hoping to somehow redeem herself, avenge her people, fulfill her path and on this harrowing journey some day find her way back beneath the stars of home.
She has few allies in the lands of Middle Earth, perhaps the company she travels with would call her a friend...
Her brothers and her father who remained in Far Harad, but she considers the N'Nonmiton her family
It is not easy to get on her bad side, she doesn't hold many grudges
It is clear she has a love for nature, and should you become closer, you might learn something more
Lack of control, fear, cruelty
To redeem herself, no matter the cost
"Have you ever simply stopped in your tracks and admired the wonder of the nature that surrounds you?"
