A man in his mid-twenties, Théodrun is every bit as grand as his name. Pale golden locks, icy blue eyes and a dashing smile, he truly fits the part of a bard. He stands at a fairly short height of 5ft 8", but lets his personality do all the emphasizing he needs. Down his right eye he bears a straight-ish scar, seemingly made by a blade. He acquired it sometime between his exile from the Riders of the Riddermark and his eventual return; if asked, he will state it is "the only tale I cannot tell".

Background

Théodrun Skald, Song Warrior

The earliest memory Théodrun has is of waking in a burnt-out house and being found by a passing bard; he surmises he was around eight-years-old at the time. The bard, a Gondorian named Faeris, took the boy under his wing and raised him as his own; he named the lad after the Rohirric King, Theoden, to cement his high hopes for the boy's future.

For a decade Théo studied hard, learning all he could about the arts of weaving songs and poetry; he mastered every instrument Faeris challenged him with, and soon the bard was happy for his apprentice to strike out on his own.

Théo set out for Bree, hoping that there he could earn some easy coin and perhaps find some shred of his past life. Seven years later he was no closer to the answers he sought, and was found by the Riders of the Riddermark, who recruited him under the banner and name of Theoden King. Unhappy at having his wings clipped, Théo rebelled and ultimately left the Riders.

During his journey back to Bree, Théo chanced upon a caravan heading towards the Lone Lands. Théo saw it as his duty to help the woman and her child to safety, and so travelled with them. One night orcs besieged the caravan. Théo tried his best to fend them off, but they knocked him unconscious. When Théo awoke, the caravan was still smouldering and the woman and her child were gone. A darkness fell over the bard and he scoured the sandy wastes for days for the orcs. By the time he found them, the woman and her child had been sold as slaves; so Théo wasted no time in turning the sands red with orc blood. He vowed to never give up his search for them.

After a drink at The Prancing Pony, Théo realized that the problems in Breeland and Rohan were simply getting worse, and that it would never improve if he sat round when he had the chance to help. He rode straight for the Riders' last known location and managed to track them down. Much self-proving followed but eventually he was able to prove himself worthy as a Rider once more.

Théo's mood seems to have brightened lately, but there is still a shadowed change to him. He now travels alongside his kinsmen as their Skald (Bard); telling tales to amuse, weaving songs of their victories and acquiring any information they should require.
