Outward Appearance

Morithelion, without a doubt, has the features of the people of Eol and of Gondolin, but he bears a shadow of resemblance to Maeglin the Betrayer as well. (if you are Noldorin or know Maeglin at all). His notably Noldorin hair with several strands of gold woven through here and there is the result of his dominantly Noldorin heritage combined with that of his mother, the Galadhrim.  His skin is fair and his dark blue eyes strike one as being keen and piercingly bright. He is almost always seen wearing elven armour that is freshly polished and shimmering as well as his face and brushed hair. In fact, his whole body is cleaned in almost a militaristic way. The expression he wears is serious and he seems to be constantly cautious and aware of his surroundings.

Background

Morithelion has a bit of a temper, but constantly works to control it. Though not shy, he will not approach all elves willingly, knowing that they may judge him quickly. He will not hesitate to kill humanoid creatures if necessary, but is sympathetic to animals, particularly wolves. Strangely enough, he still completely fine with eating meat. Having trouble understanding the ways of Men, he is constantly getting annoyed with their behaviour, but seems very chivalrous to women of the human race. He thinks hobbits are just ignorant and not worthy of his time, but will speak with them once in a while. He treats almost all male elves with caution. In fact, out of all the races, he enjoys the the company of the dwarves the most, though he will never be seen wearing dwarven armour or carrying dwarven weapons.

Currently, he is having a lot of trouble with his temper, several times angering the Lords of the Morohirrim and their friends. Morithelion is struggling with himself, even falling into a rage in which he harmed himself badly. Sometimes he feels as though he is worthy of death.

Backstory:

During his early childhood, Morithelion listened to his father, Daedhelos, tell of the greatness of Maeglin before his betrayal, teaching of the good examples and of the ill that the Betrayer could be. Daedhelos knew the terrible deeds of Maeglin, but he still admired him for the works of his hands in life. He told Morithelion how his mother, Helegwen and noblewoman of Gondolin, loved Maeglin from afar but always knew that he and she could never be together. Because of this, along with many other claims, Daedhelos had been suspected of being Maeglin's son through Helegwen of Gondolin for the majority of his life.

After the Fall of Gondolin, Daedhelos escaped from Gondolin with the survivors, his mother left dying in the city. After Beleriand sunk, he traveled to Lindon where he met Lady Glorenloth, kindred of the future-Galadhrim elves. Upon the founding of the Golden Wood, he moved there with her kin, but was watched carefully, being of the kinslaying lineage of the Noldor. It was there that Morithelion was born to them. Being crippled during the Fall of Gondolin, Now, as Sauron rose to power and the Free Peoples rode to war against the darkness, they called their people to action, including those of Lothlorien. Daedhelos' injuries both physical and mental that he had acquired during the Fall troubled him greatly and he protested, pleading to the generals of the Galadhrim to leave him to care for the Lady Glorenloth and Morithelion, a young child. Soon, however, being suspected as the son of Maeglin through the gossip of a former servant of Helegwen, the Galadhrim grew suspicious that he sought to excuse himself from battle only to betray them just as Maeglin had done. So, he fought in the Last Alliance and, just as he feared, fell at the foot of Orodruin.

Though they had victory, Daedhelos' body was never found, and many suspected he had abandoned the army, instead of dying valiantly as his close friends claimed. Morithelion was soon looked upon as dangerous (resembling Maeglin ever more than his father), but being so young, he was permitted to stay until he was of age, watched over even more carefully than his father had been. Glorenloth remains today in Lothlorien, bid by her son to not be troubled by his suspected lineage and to remain with her kindred.

When he became of age, Morithelion left The Golden Wood and traveled through Middle-Earth to Eriador, fearing any Elven refuge where he may be looked upon as a dangerous traitor. Now he seeks to discover the truth behind Daedhelos' story, ever-wondering whether he truly is the son of Maeglin's son, or whether his grandmother only believed it in her own mind out of desperate love for Maeglin. He simultaneously works to prove to the Noldor, the former Gondolindrim, and the Galadhrim, that he is not Maeglin or Daedhelos and is worthy of their trust.
