It is a cold and rainy day here in Eregion. I decided to start a journal, just to fill spare time.. Now .. What to write about? I am just sitting here on a log at an abandonded campsite. It is, luckily dry now. I always enjoy the sight of the trees after a rainy day, it gives some kind of sparkly glow. Very enchanting. I just came here in Eregion, I have been travelling the path from Rivendell to .. Well .. Here. Pend Eregion, I believe. That reminds me .. I should buy some new parchment.

It's been a day or so since I last wrote. I had to heat up the ink, that's how cold it is. I don't think I have enough food to last much longer, about a day's worth, I'd probably die of starvation if I tried to get through the pass, if the cold and snow alone don't kill me.
