Poem - Springtime

The Springtime has now come around
And once more wonders are on show
For fresh life springs out of the ground
As sweet born flowers start to grow
And in the rising morning glow
The trestled roses standing tall
To give their scents to those below
For Springtime brings new life for all

Upon the trees new shoots abound
The bursts of green that twigs all sew
And joyful do the birds all sound
Their melodies reach high and low
And gentle is the wind that blows
To make the cherry blossoms fall
With daisies swaying to and fro
For Springtime brings new life for all

And many mayflies can be found
To rise from streams that warmly flow
In fields the hares all leap and bound
All boxing madly as they go
Whilst lambs all bleat and calves all low
In answer to their mother's call
This gift of life they all now know
For Springtime brings new life for all

Oh Springtime has now come around
And we can dance at nature's ball
To celebrate the sights and sounds
For Springtime brings new life for all
