Remember a day when the sun shone so bright?
It flowed through the windows, all lovely and light
And lit up the room with its soft golden rays
Do you remember that day?
And can you recall all the birds in the trees?
All singing out softly their sweet melodies
And gentle the buzzing of bees all around
Can you recall all these sounds?
And does your mind picture the flowers that grew?
They painted the gardens in rainbow like hues
And grass in the meadows was lush and so green
Does your mind picture the scene?
And can you still feel the warmth of the fire
With food on the table freshed baked in the Shire
The tender aromas that float in the halls
Can you still feel it all?
How can you forget all these things that you see?
The sun is still smiling, and birds sing in trees
All things are still here, and so here they'll stay yet
How could we ever forget?
