A dream Laenir had in the Greenway camp, during his trip to Forochel
The land of green blossom
Beyond greed of the Mortal folk
Spring is coming
There's nothing to fear
There she was
Dancing among the trees
What a beautiful lass
O, how I miss her
I want to hold her
Protect her against the Perils
Her dress of light gossamer
And golden brooch therein
She comes to me, smiling
Her arms open, joy abiding
Merrines on her thriving
O, how I missed her
Then suddenly begins a great silence
Her smile dies, her face is vigilant
Threat grows dense
She looks scared and woesome
"The Shadow lingers here" she said
"Among the trees, above the grass"
To the ground her sight then laid
The golden brooch turns into brass
She turns around and walks away
"Wait!" I shout "Wait for me!"
"I've gone astray"
"O, I've missed you so."
Suddenly the tree behind me dropped it's leaves
It's bark turned to black and grey
The grass then turns to red, the Sun no more gleams
Birds then flew away.
Silence falls around us, she turns to me and says:
"I've missed you too my love..."
She looks to me and smiles
"But I must go now."
Then she runs away to the woods
I try to follow her
She disappears, I only find her brooch
I yell her name.
Suddenly the trees catch fire
Brightly alight they are
Trough smoke I see her again
So near she is, still afar
Then I see how she disappears
Among the trees she runs
I did not see her again
O, how I miss her
I feel the heat around me
The flames lick my body
I fall down to my knees
"O, help me, my love"
