I was born in a night with countless stars and my mother named me Gilmiriel after her favourite necklace..It is a simple star-shaped white jewel shining by the day.Dy the night,it shines so bright as if one of the stars of Elbereth come down from the heaven..My mother used to wear it on her chest..My father,who is a noldo elf from the house of Finarfin told us the name of the necklace should be Elemmíriel..it is not sindar-making but from the blessed realm..To which my mother nodded..She remembers she received it in Doriath.Finarfin's sons had taken it across the sea along with many treasures of Tirion...
My mother has it on her chest since the day she received it from the queen..the jewel has accompanied her through many woes and joys.It even shone brightly on my father in the time of war--in the Last Alliance.
My father said the maiden with the jewel impressed him the first time about the havens of Sirion and soon found himself madly in love with her.It was a time of confusion but the greatest joy had already found him.
