The diary of Ithilwien - May 30th

Kelinor woke up not long after I stopped writing last night and despite the deep stab he seems to be coping well. My knowledge in healing is scarce, but so far it seems to have come in use and helped every time. But as he woke up I was put in a rather.. awkward position. I'm used to helping and aiding those in need, but this normally involves moments of desperation, stress, a general state of all else then calm. And then, as he woke up, he unshamedly asked me to help him change the bandages. To be honest I felt rather intimidated by the request but did of course not turn it down. So I helped him, rather uncomfortable and horribly shy being so near him. After that we went to spend the rest of the evening in the Prancing Pony, where things would come to end up rather uncomfortable, from my side, once again. Not long before Kelinor decided to leave he asked me if I wished to join him. I don't think I need to say much more.. I don't know if he was somehow trying to.. incline anything, but either way this request made me horribly shy. He didn't seem to understand why at first and probably thought I simply didn't want to be with him, but then realized that I am after all no human like him. So he left on his own, understanding or disappointed I don't know, and I stayed for a while.

Not long after I decided I needed to leave Bree and it's sorroundings, in attempt to just get away for a while. I knew I couldn't stay long, that there were people who needed me, but decided to leave just for a few hours.. I decided to go north, unsure of what might be to find there, and the further I got the more deserted were the lands. I decided to get off the road to see what was to find, and it didn't take me long to lose track of where I was. After wandering around a forest for some time I noticed a man sat down by a slope. Being without packing, without horse and just sat staring I got worried that perhaps the man was lost like me, and decided to approach him. It turned out I was wrong, that he knew exactly where he was, and that quite obviously he was hiding something. He was clearly human but well disguised and refused to tell me anything about himself. I told him of my name and even mentioned my brother, but he refused to tell me anything more then that he did actually know my brother. He seemed as suspicious against me as I was against him, but eventually suggested that he would show me the way back to Bree. We had reached a road crossing when we stopped and he refused to go any further. But he didn't seem to want to part, and neither did I. We both seemed curious to find out more about each other. In attempt to gain his trust I pestered to make him reveal who he was, how he knew my brother and why he refused to go any closer to Bree. He gave in, as he wanted information from me as well, and lowered his mask revealing a horribly burnt and scarred face, he told me his name was Sauthoran and he used to be one of Albillions officers and that he refused to get near Bree as he was exiled, banned from its lands. In exchange for this information I gave in and told him my brother had joined the Legion, following in our mother and sister's footsteps. Seeing as he disapproved of this I made it very clear that I may be with them, but I do not sympathize with their views and actions. He then turned to go back the same way we had come, turning me down as I said I hoped to see him again sometime. "I doubt we will" he said and walked away. I stayed still on my horse for a moment, watching him walk away, then screamed to him that I hoped we would either way.

A bit shaken by this meeting, touched by the destiny of that man, I then turned and rode back to Bree. Just as I had entered the already well known town again I spotted Aladrian, who I am for that matter slowly starting to accept as my actual father, stood speaking to a hooded woman. It didn't take me long to recognize the woman as one I had met in Imladris some years back. Dorenthien, a beautiful lady who back when I met her was with her husband Sinured and new born baby boy, Latheron. Though it didn't take me long to learn that both her son and husband had not been seen for long, and she eventually decided to leave. There was a clear tension between her and Aladrian and I asked him what was the matter between them, but all he would tell me was that she was a close friend of his.
After a short, rather stiff conversation with Aladrian I decided to return to the house to catch up and make sure I was not needed, finding that there was a recruit I got to show around and supply. He left shortly after though, and now here I am. I don't know where Kelinor is, hoping he will be back here soon, and I cannot help but thinking that perhaps I should return to the north soon, return and see if I can find Sauthoran again.
