I am now slowly starting to understand what this group of men - well, mainly men - are actually dealing with. Their former leader, who's full name I have now learned is Loor Turindriel Elithen, is mentioned often. It appears to me as if his will and work is all that matters to these men. Their new leader, as previously mentioned by name, seems to not be our actual leader but merely the man who have been assigned to continue on with Loor Turindriels work.
But, to get to the point, today I was assigned to my very first mission. A group of us, I believe it was me, Albillion, Kelinor, Eogler and.. Ostan? I am not sure of his name.. Or if that was even the man. But however, we were to go to an inn in the Shire, another place I had never before been to, to try and find information among the hobbits living there.
So we journeyed to the Shire and this inn, the Green Dragon. I was told to get back into my normal garments and just enter the inn, see if anyone was there, then come back outside. So I did as I was told, without surprise finding that there was a group of perhaps 10 hobbits in there gathered around. I went back outside, changed back to my masked uniform and we all then entered together. Gathering up in the back we were told to attempt to get close to the hobbits, one at the time, trying to get a chance to ask them about a Baggins. We all entered the room again and spread out, approaching the hobbits. Not sure what to do I remained in the background, until one of our men (name unknown, as it is indeed hard to determine who is who when wearing the same masked uniforms) somehow scared one of the hobbits enough to make her pass out. She got up rather quickly again, but I approached her to make sure she was okay. Doing so, another female hobbit approached me and asked "Why are you looking for Mr Baggins?". Not knowing for sure myself, and not wanting to ruine things by revealing the little I knew, I simply lied, explaining to her that we believed he was possibly in trouble and we were looking for him to prevent this from happening. She believed my story and told me the man in question was thought to have left for Buckland. Not long after, I was told we had to leave. I was quickly pulled away, not even given a chance to say farewell to the friendly hobbit lady.
Gathering we all agreed to have found the same information; Mr Baggins had left for Buckland a while back, accompanied by a man named Samwise Gamgee. With this we kept moving and soon arrived in Buckland. Albillion and I stayed outside its gates guarding whilst the others went inside to find more information. As they returned a while later Kelinor reported that they had found an abandoned, and trashed house with signs that the two hobbits had been there. Our main lead, and concern, was the fact that it was clearly visable that their escape route lead straight into the old forest.
We ended it there, however, and returned to the house in which I just arrived to. Now, as I finish this, I shall get changed and join the others to Bree for some time off.
