Ranger Cooperation Petition

Dear fellow merchants of Bree-land,

I, Frimsi Gembeard, should like to propose a new way to work with our Ranger friends that fairly addresses Chief Watcher Grimbriar's concerns and leaves us all happy, and maybe even rich too! The Rangers provide a very valuable service protecting the roads for us merchants, and they ask for little in return. And I hope they keep asking for little in return! But even so, most people here in Bree do not trust them, and for good reason. The Rangers aren't exactly known for their skilled public relations! So as much as we might appreciate their toll-free services, it is up to us to meaningfully address the concerns Chief Watcher Grimbriar brought to our attention, as these are concerns most people in Bree share.

And I think I have found just the way to do this meaningful addressing! Drawing upon the many great suggestions proposed at Vratni's most eventful protest and at the last council meeting, I should like to establish a public noticeboard on which Rangers can freely and voluntarily post their findings and other details about their work. And so as to give them an incentive to work with us in this way, I should like for each post they make to be rewarded with a small payment from the town treasury. They are working to keep all of Bree-land safe, which is in everyone's best interest. Trade can't flow into Bree if the roads to Bree are too dangerous for travel. So I can't think of a better way to spend town finances than investing in the safety and security of our lands! And in addition to this, I should like to allow any merchants to post trade offers on this noticeboard to bring to the attention of our Ranger friends. Who knows! They might find a great deal on much needed supplies as a result, and so be more well-equipped to do their most important work protecting Bree-land.

Yours Truly,
Frimsi Gembeard
