Pilgrimage to Khazad-Dûm
| Date: | May 27th, 2011 |
|---|---|
| Time: | 7 PM servertime |
| Location: | The Walls of Moria |
Event details:
For more than a thousand years, the once proud and grand city of Khazad-Dûm, have laid in silence, and darkness. Its old monuments of craftsmanship, and places of great reverance, now defiled and spoiled by the orcs who roam these halls, after the fall of Durin VI, and his son, Náin I. For many years it has been known as Moria, the Black Pit, a mockery of it's former self.
No longer. Where Balin's Company did not succeed, it is hoped that the Iron Garrison will instead. As they toil beneath the mountains, a glimmer of hope is born, however small it may be, of reclaimation and restoration. Some of the wonders crafted by our forefathers still remains within these halls, and no dwarf should deny their desire to witness them. We will make our way there, to the former dwellings of our folk, and journey through the mountains. We will go to the grandest city ever known in Middle-Earth, and see it with our own eyes. We will pass beyond the Doors of Durin, once more.
Khazad-Dûm awaits us.
As was announced on the Dwarrow Ting, it is time again, for another pilgrimage to Khazad-Dûm, and this is your invitation. Like the two times prior to this one, we will make our way through Moria, starting at the Doors of Durin and from there on visiting many locations of importance throughout the place. In-Character, it will be an RP-event for us dwarves; Out-Of-Character, it will double as a history lesson, for those interested in the lore of the dwarves, the lore of Moria, and how the game relates to Tolkien's writings. If you have been to one of the prior pilgrimages, do not worry; The planned route is another one, to visit previously unvisited locations.
Dwarf-only event. Naturally, you will need to have finished Volume 2, Book 1, to participate on this journey. We gather a short distance north of the Doors of Durin, by the dwarven graves.
