Chapter 2
Our next adventure began at Tom’s House in the Old Forest,
The Merry Fellow with Blue jacket and his boots yellow,
made as a Breakfast with roasted Mushrooms toast of Honey and a drink that lifted our Spirit for our next journey.
When Astrantinella packed her things and took a walk With Earl grey, I talked to Tom, for what he knew about the North of the Forest,
He spoke in song and dance, I could not make up what he mend, but so Merry does he talked it must be a good thing ain' it?
I studied a map and misread Burrow Downs.
Outside Astrantinella was waiting so I told her what I heard about Tom, and we set our path to this Burrow of the downs family.
After consulting the map, and walked into the wrong direction,.. (( what was not a bad thing, I could say my Hi to Goldberry))
Well I tried anyways.. and Miss Astrantinella gave me such a puzzled look, that I run off red faced and feeling like a fool.
After some traveling, and following a trail.. the forest cleared and we saw a campsite in front of us.
And above it loomed strange pointy stones on hills,
I spoke to some of the folk at Camp, and I came to the conclusion I made a gravely error.
I told Astrantinella that I somehow misread Burrow as …Barrow.
EEKs! We were at the Barrow Downs..
Well going back would bring us no good, and these folk at the camp could use our Help.
Bob a Hobbit send us out to find her Daughter Lalia, and it seems she was looking for a Prince of old tales.
Seems the Barrow downs is a cursed place full of buried man and we saw with my own Eyes as did Astrantinella, sd I could not be mistaken, walking man.. well they are walking Boneman skeleton like.
Only one who was delighted to see them was Earl Grey the dog of Astrantinella,.
He did snatch some of the bones, when we fought one that attacked us.
After some troubles guiding Lalia out of the Barrows, (( that little lass was trotting all over the place, (must be a took, and oblivious of the danger)
We found some poor soul of a man slain near the end of the Burrow Down in the Direction to Breeland. Found a note clutch in his hand with the words Help!
Well we could also use some help indeed I thought
With some circling around and dogging aggressive wildlife and creepy death man, we made it to camp.
Astrantinella still holding firmly her hands on my backpack to not to get lost In this dreadful place.
Bob was delighted to hear her Daughter was save, and we felt much happier near the campfire away from all the Howls and creepy sounds from the Barrow Downs.
I spoke with a old friendly man, and he told me about Riches and treasure,
I become a little bold to believe, that with our Guard dog Earl, and with the help of Astrantinella we could surely get some treasure for the troubles we had endure.
I convinced Astrantinella to go back once more, and I had to most splendid Idea to let Earl sniff a old Coin I found in the Barrows,
Earl sniffed it… and Swallowed it….. and he dashed with such a speed and a howl, trough the dense mist.....
And we lost him...
Would we find Earl Grey back… Would I get my Coin back.. and would Astrantinella an I master Bramwise find treasure, and perhaps second breakfast too.
That would be for the next tale…..
