Maevinnas (well-entrance)
There is an age old tradition in Gondor, referred to as Maevinnas, borne from times of trouble. This tradition entails an entrance to fuel wellbeing, leaving one's worries and strife outside while meeting friendly faces to relax with, over good food and drink.
A chance for introductions and getting to know one another better, with an unspoken agreement not to discuss troublesome events on the outside, until the party is over.
(( Topics of war, fear, destruction and politics of the setting should be left outside as per this tradition. Due to this hook, you may treat this event as timeless.)) Talk about whatever you want; this is your roleplay.
All folk of a friendly disposition are publicly invited; merchants, weary warriors, locals, travelers alike. Pets are welcome. Sparring may be done outside.
Here is a chance to celebrate a window of peace, rest and good drinks in Minas Tirith's second-worst establishment.
Gondor Weekly Gathering is ideal for anyone who wants to role-play a character located in Gondor, whether trying something new or dusting off an old character.
The mission of this event is to find, create and allow more reasons to role-play together as a community rather than reasons not to.
My focus will be on individual characters, adventurers, merchants, travelers or ordinary folk of Middle Earth who are able to encounter each other in a peaceful, civilized setting.
If you do not know much about Middle Earth or role-play, that's OK!
Come along to a supportive, encouraging atmosphere and give it a try with me.
Bring an OOC friendly disposition and goodwill towards all your fellow role-players.
While we encourage characters to be the race of men to suit the location, this event is open to all. If your character is a different race but has a convincing reason to be in Minas Tirith, you are still welcome to attend.
Join in to have your character introduce themselves, meet others, tell stories and have some easy-going and immersive socialization.
This is a perfect opportunity for all role-players to engage and promote role-play in the wonderful game of Lord of the Rings Online.
