Lindon
We reached the seaside with no significant adventures. I did my best to remain a pleasant and funny company though at times I could not help sinking in a deep sadness. On and off certain of my decision to sail, reluctant to confess this to my traveling partner and worried about the sea travel itself, I now have my feet buried in the sand mixed with pine and olive leafs, fallen branches and seashells washed away by the waves. I thought that I'll say my goodbyes to Laerenis as well but apparently she is traveling for her studies around the ruins of Annuminas
We almost crossed paths probably, but it was not meant to be. I will leave a letter for her unless we meet again before my ship is ready, thanking her, wishing her the best. The brief time that we spent together healed many wounds and restored a faith in myself that I thought forever lost. I will remember her fondly forever: my improbable scholarly graceful friend, and I will miss her carefree and cheerful demeanor until we will meet again.
The mansion of Earcalie's family is beyond impressive and I am grateful that she invited me to be her guest while waiting for my turn to sail. She's a great host, keeping me company at sightseeing the area on horseback, training enough that we don't feel like gathering rust, listening and sharing her plans on further exploring the Middle Earth. I promise myself that I will return the favor someday in the faraway west,if she will so wish it, to welcome her and show her whatever I will find worthy to be discovered first. This path in front of me still lays hidden in a thick mist smelling like pine and salt, but whatever storms will the clouds bring I feel confident that I'll manage. I changed, and while not all that I did I'm proud of and many painful memories I'd rather shake off like they were bothersome sand grains, all this made me who I am today..and I am at peace.
