From Green to Golden Leaves

Long and hard where the days following Iyenue's departure from Felegoth, as when finally she left the halls of Thranduil a wide and perilous world opened up in front of her, one that she knew nothing about.' Her journey started with a first step outside the Elven Gate that marked the end of her foresty home and with her sights set upon the Hithaeglir she decided to take another, and then another more, and so it continued till she reached the waters of Anduin, ever flowing south to lands untold. It was there that her wanderlust of crossing the Misty Mountains faded, and a worrisome thought nestled within, for she knew her skill with the blade and of the land was lacking, in those days, and as such decided to continue her journey south. Though, her knowledge of the lands to the south were limited as well, she felt entranced by the mists of the waters, the smells of the Vales and the promise of warmth under the sun.

This presented a challenge though, for she knew it would get her close to the realm of Galadriel and Celeborn, and her Lady's foresight was renowned. Though, no reason for the Galadhrim to stop her in her tracks, for her quest was of her own choosing, stepping into the Golden Woods of Lothlorien would surely raise suspicion and comparing to how her own kin treated outsiders, even elven, she decided to continue on the eastern bank of the river.

This in turn, presented itself with yet another challenge, for much darkness yet remained in the woods to the south, in that accursed fortress, of which name Iyenue shall always utter in furry. Hesitant, she saw no other course, and eluding whatever nightmarish creatures still roamed the eastern banks of the river was a far better chance than entering her Lady's wood.

And so it was, that uneventful was her passing through the forest and into the great plains beyond.
