Earlier in the day, the Hobbits might have caught a glimpse of Ristiinnä walking merrily through the rain along the lane out of Budgeford, with a husky at one hand and a great brown bear at the other, and thought her a great wizard. But by time she reached Scary, the bear seemed to be gone, the woman she'd been traveling with earlier was returned, and as the rains broke, hand in hand they watched the sky fill with color.
