Letter to Cyfric #3

Dearest twin,

It has been a little up and down of late. Myself and Seaver have had a bit of a falling out which is pretty much my fault. I thought things over - yes, I know, shocking isn't it? - and decided that it's entirely too complicated to have a romantic relationship with the man who is at the forefront of the dad-killing-mob. He didn't take that decision too well and I ended up living on the streets for a while. You know me, though, I always find something to smile about no matter how bad things may seem! In that case, cold and uncomfortable as it was, I was nevetheless quite pleased to find a nice piece of fallen masonry that served as a good shelter. It could be quite homely with a few rugs and a curtain or two to cut out the wind at the entrance.

A passing comment to Guvadan however, resulted in him figuring out my circumstance and he insisted that I stay with him instead! So, I'm once again warm and comfortable, living in a nice little house in a quiet little village to the south and east of Bree. We're becoming quite close, he and I, which is strange but nice. Don't go getting all excited, though! You can tell that harridan of yours not to get out the good crockery just yet - I'm not about to be made an honest woman overnight, unlike some.

In other news, I have a lead on the whereabouts of father! I've never heard of the place, but I'm not about to let that stop me! I've travelled long and far already, to and through many places I'd never heard of when I first left home, and I never let something so tivial get in my way before. Still, it's going to take a few days to prepare and once I have everything I need, I'll hit the road yet again.

Enough about me, though! How are you and the others? Did the wedding go well? Tell me more about my new brother! How's the mare? Has she increased your herd yet? Speaking of herds, what about your little one? You've not said much about my newphew at all!

Much love and laughter to you all,

Cyre Culfere.
