Oathtaking of Cúthoron

Cúthoron looks upon the assembled elves at the forge of Imladris with apprehension, so many in attendance for the oathtaking, he knew some few familiar faces but most were not well known to him and he assumed a spectacle of an oathtaking was something rare in these late times. Tingruviel the ambassador hails Cuthoron on his arrival and all turn from their casual conversations to hail or welcome him in one way or another, Ealendil says, 'Aha', 'Hey Cuthoron, you finally arrived.' Cuthoron says, 'good to see you friends!' Astordir says, 'Suilad, dear friend.' Ealendil says, 'Nervous?' Cuthoron chuckles.Astordir casts a soft smile.
Ealendil chuckles at Cuthoron.
Cuthoron fumbles through his notes last minute
Ealendil smiles at Cuthoron, seeing signs of minor nervousness
Cuthoron grins at Ealendil
Eluineth glances at the notes and gives a gentle nod towards Cuthoron, and a softer smile. "It is an event of great importance, yet you are among kindred here, and a family you shall be soon a part of. You shall do well, hir."
Ealendil says, 'Next I will splash some water on you.'
Ealendil chuckles.
Cuthoron glances at Eluineth and gives a nod of thanks for her kind words
Ealendil nods reassuringly to Cuthoron, "It will be fine, I will stand by you."
Astordir remains silent still smiling, except his smile has turned more faint over time. While waiting he looks at his and the stars reflection in the water.
Cuthoron smiles at Ealendil
Eluineth gives a soft glance to Ealendil, nodding with her words, and then another glance towards Astordir, a more curious one. After a while her eyes too draw towards the waters, and she steps closer to it's edge.
Ealendil strikes up her harp.
Eluineth at the sound of a harp, draws closer to the beautiful sound, listening.
Ealendil lowers her harp
Ealendil says, 'Hmm they are taking their time to get here.'
Astordir gazes back at Ealendil. "That was very lovely my friend."
Luinvirdanon says, 'entrances in style need time'
Cuthoron says, 'perhaps it's been cancelled...'
Ealendil says, 'Thank you'
Tingruviel says, 'Do not fret, Cuthoron'
Eluineth chuckles at Cuthoron.

Cuthoron says, 'and find my own oaths run in parallel with the oath of Bar-en-Vanimar'
Ealendil nods
Anglachelm says, 'Very well that is noble...'
Cuthoron looks around at the assembled elves
Anglachelm says, 'yet not enough, as it is our custom for an elf under the same oath should witness your words'
Anglachelm says, 'Is there such an elf here?'
Tindir says, 'Oh'
Ealendil kneels before the Lord Anglachelm.
Anglachelm says, 'Lady Ealendil?'
Tindir hails Hotirme.
Ealendil says, 'My Lord, it is my honour and pleasure to be by hir Cuthoron's side as he stands before you.'
Tindir hails Laurenaro.
Tingruviel hails Laurenaro.
Tingruviel hails Hotirme.
You hail everyone.
Hotirme hails everyone.
Anglachelm looks at other cauns to see if they consent to that
Ealendil nods to Cuthoron
Laurenaro bows slightly, smiling at the elves and tring not to take up too much attention.
Eluineth gives a soft and warm nod towards Laurenaro and Hotirme.
Elvealin nods.
Tindir gives a quick nod
Tingruviel nods to Anglachelm
Cuthoron smiles at Ealendil
Anglachelm says, 'Very well... Lords and ladies seem content.'
Ealendil nods slowly
Astordir crosses his arms behind as back, standing up straight while looking on at the group of elves.
Anglachelm says, 'We shall hear it then. Tell us Cuthoron, what is your oath'
Cuthoron coughs politely at Ealendil. Ahem!

Ealendil says, 'Yes I have'

Anglachelm goes to his stack of boxes
Cuthoron bows deeply before Anglachelm.
Anglachelm Opens the ebony box and there he reveals a locket in the likeness of a swan. This one is made of wrought iron and somewhat crudely posed for Noldor standards (though its flawless for men). The Iron Swan is charred and burnt, and went through a lot of fire and has blood stains on its crevices.
Anglachelm looks at the locket for a while
Cuthoron looks upon the swan token with curious interest.
Anglachelm says, 'I recall during Arnoediad men have left their gold behind to their wives, and took iron with them. This was one that returned and kept.'
Anglachelm says, 'Long aeons after its bearer fell in the streets of the White city.'
Anglachelm tilts his head and looks at Cuthoron
Anglachelm says, 'And as this bird yourself have seen the light, and the days of hope. And you did hear the words of he, or so they say, 'And you have watched the darkness rising, consuming all.'
Cuthoron nods solemnly
Ealendil eyes the locket with interest.
Anglachelm says, 'You have seen our hopes burn and the world’s sundering,'
Anglachelm says, 'Passed through fire like iron to become steel.'
Anglachelm thinks for a moment.
Elvealin looks at the swan.
Anglachelm says, 'Then let this swan remind you what have you become, since a final day to redeem all that was done is still ahead.'
Anglachelm says, 'Until then, welcome home lord.'
Anglachelm attaches it to his neck
Tindir claps for Cuthoron.
Ealendil claps for Cuthoron.
Luinvirdanon claps for Cuthoron.
