Changing Thoughts

She did something she never thought she'd do ever again... She smiled, she actually, genuinely smiled without hesitation as she held a baby for the first time in over five years... A baby boy and she absolutely fell in love with him, she promised Guinnilyn she would babysit him whenever she needed her to... She used to hate babies, but after yesterday, she loves them... She would do anything for any child, to make sure they are safe and healthy, to make sure no one is hurting them the way she's been hurt, to make sure they feel loved, a feeling she hasn't really, truly felt in a long time.
