First Time in a Long Time

Ashnell had not considered of having another person to look after. Not after the time that he had lost his lover. It was all thanks to his profession as a specialist with a bow and barbed arrows, his profession as an assassin. Throughout his life ever since he was sixteen, his life had been molded with that. He had worked with a group for the most time of his life before working under Goldgel Umaarah. He had found out having a twin brother as well as an uncle. However, due to the War, the two have fallen in battle, his father going back to Gondor for the rest of his days until he had passed, leaving Ashnell alone. From then, he had gone to other areas of Middle-Earth, taking jobs that he could to earn coin. It was only after he had arrived back to Bree that things have changed.

It all had started out as Dryn have introduced the peculiar-colored man to his friends. However, the man in the mask that was covering his mouth did not trust Ashnell one bit. Ashnell did not blame him. He was confused of how Dryn exchanged words with the masked friend in Sindarin, thinking of having Ashnell’s help in… something. Although, Ashnell did notice the one young man who was sitting next to Dryn. He was quiet but he was timid due to Ashnell’s black armor and cloak. Such is the way of someone that was trained with assassins. After some time, he had talked more and more to the young man named Clay. Clay, despite the amount he told Ashnell about his family and past, was a gentle soul yet had made himself not to speak. Ashnell did not blame him. For the first time in a long while, the older man had started to care for someone and he would do his best not to let any cruel fate fall on Clay.
