A Bounder goes South (pt 1)

If you asked most Hobbits where Deephallow was they be lost. Mostly because nearly all the Hobbits don’t realise that the South Farthing had more towns than just Sackville and Longbottom. The best place to find anything about everything about Deephollow would be found in The Great Simials in Tuckborough. But you need to know several things, including how big The South Farthing is and that in some of the old books the Brandywine is still named Branda-nin.

Deephallow is a decent size town near the south-east corner of the South Farthing. It is split into two by the Brandywine. Making it the only hobbit town that was inside and outside the Shire.

There are just two roads leading into Deephaollow. First is the long Longbottom route and the shorter but the most difficult muddy road via  Rushy, which finally takes you to the hamlet of Deephallow.

There was another peculiarity about Deephallow and the surrounding area, was that the local hobbits, spoke odd and bickered a lot about boots!

It was in this direction a smartly dressed hobbit, sporting a bounder’s hat was heading. His name was Tolmon ‘Tom’ Burrows and all he had on his mind was high tea at his new home, a nice room at the Smoked Kipper Inn.
