We entered the Morgul Vale after a quick rest. "Iarnuil, you will stay by the camp and entrance to the Vale with the third group. Iarvenil, you will follow the second group into the woods - Shall the first group fail, the second needs to inform the others and hold the position. You will be the messenger. I shall go with the main force." - Nethillon then said and looked at us. Iarnuil looked at Nethillon but he knew that he cannot go against his orders. Nethillon glanced briefly at him and then me as a quick goodbye just in case. Then he have moved with the group he assigned to go with him. They rode off the main path and moved towards the river, where they were meant to stay and watch the Vale. Not long after I left with my group towards the woods. We remained at the position waiting for anything that may come when we heard a commotion ahead. We prepared ourselves for everything. "Iarvenil go scout what happens!" - Someone shouted to me and then I started to run towards the first group or at least I thought so. I heard a shriek above me then something heavy fell to the ground not far from where I was standing. I came closer to that and freeze. I recognized Nethillon lying on the ground and some soldiers fighting in the distance against something terrible. I leaned down near my brother. "Nethillon...Nethillon... it's me..." - I then said towards him on the edge of tears. I was so afraid that he is dead. "Warn...Iarnuil..." - He spoke with a weak and pained voice towards me. I felt relieved that he was alive. "I will, Nethillon. I will warn them and I won't abandon or leave you here... we will return home..." - I spoke towards him hopind that he can hear me. He ripped something off himself and showed it to me in his left hand. "Keep it....safe..." - He said towards me once again and I understood that I need to take it and show it to someone we trust when I'm back. "I won't leave you here... I can't..." - I said towards him then but what he answered me has torn my heart apart. "Run... Leave...me..." - He managed to say. I had tears in my eyes but I couldn't let him down. I ran towards my group, broken but it was too late for them. My commander looked at me and motioned for me to run to the third group and so I did. I ran as fast as I could then reached them. My body kept shaking. I couldn't deal with all that happened before my eyes. Soon I bumped into Iarnuil. "Iarvenil, what happened?!" - He said spotting the state I was in. He tried to calm me down but I couldn't do anything with it. We moved behind the lines of soldiers. "They are coming!" - I shouted to everyone, frightened and motioning to the other end of the Vale. "Where are the others? what happened?" - Iarnuil tried to ask me but I was really off. "Dead... they're all dead...." - I whispered more to myself than to him. He threw his arm around me trying to calm me down. He soon glanced at me as he understood what I was talking about. "Where is Nethillon?" - He then asked me once again. "Nethillon... Nethillon...." - I whispered then started to cry. That pain was too much. I've lost my older brother and still could lose the others. All soldiers died before my eyes. He focused on keeping me calm then for as long as he could. Then he have spotted the enemies incoming. "Iarvenil... Gondor needs you... Go back to the White City... please warn them! We will hold them as long as we can..." - He then told me unsheathing his sword and rushing into the battle as I ran away. I ran so fast and have been soon followed by the remaining soldiers. We headed back towards Osgiliath soon reaching it.
