The day was passing by, but as it ended I've already seen too much for me to bear. My heart started to beat faster everytime I was thinking about someone. That was it for me, I needed to leave the island for others' sake. I was always able to meet them all on spot for tomorrow's mission. This was my last chance to do this before the task and probably last for the rest of my life. So it was decided. I was left with my last chance but also got a new friend that supported me with it. The ship got me back to the Island and I knew that I haven't got much time before another one leaves for Belfalas. Then I have spotted a familiar figure by the sea which recognized me as well. "Need to clean this. Cold water works best to fresh blood stains.." - I heard then her voice as I came closer. I nodded then. "That is true" - I answered in a moment then glanced at my packed belongings resting on the ship nearby. "Leaving?" - She asked me. I knew that she would spot it as soon as she would look towards the ship. "I will be leaving the island for a while in a hour or two indeed." - I said then as I was looking at her as she kept cleaning the cloth with sea water. "Why? You are needed tomorrow." - She looked surprised. I kept looking at her for a moment before speaking again. "I will meet everyone on the spot. Just can't stay here for now." - I answered honestly. I couldn't just stay. Everything was happening so fast. She then looked at me and I could swear that she looked worried. "Is there something you are not telling me?" - She then asked. I just nodded. That was the last moment I could back off from telling her the truth but I didn't take it. "There is.. and that's why I came back." - I then answered and she started to look into my eyes. I looked into her as well, she seemed both so close and so far away. "I was keeping it to myself for so long to not stand in your way or spoil your happiness." - I then said with a saddened expression. My words could have destroyed everything I had in that moment. "Spoil happiness? I don't understand now." - She then said with confusion in her voice. It was too late back off now. "You love the guy, right?" - I asked with a heavy heart and kept looking at her a she blinked. "What? Yes I guess. Connection is strong." - She then answered. I knew it and I was expecting to hear these words. From that moment every single thing seemed harder to say for me. I focused myself on her eyes once again. "That's why I couldn't tell you before. I loved you all along and I still do." - I then continued but as these words came out of my mouth I just glanced down. I felt both a relief and heavy weight on my heart. "Why you haven't me told before?" - She then asked me calmly. Was that a good sign? Maybe I wouldn't mess things up as I thought. "I wanted you to be happy. And you two looked happy together. I couldn't stand in your way. Your happiness is something that matters the most to me." - I said then towards the ranger. That was true. No matter what I wanted her to be happy - even if that does not involve me. I heard her taking a deep breath before she spoke once again. "Oh Nethillon, I will never be happy or trust any man ever again. But I can't be with two men at the same time. I will broke you and that fate..im afraid awaits him too." - Her tone was solemn this time. I knew what she meant but there was nothing that could break me when it comes to her but her death. "You would never break me. I am sure of it. But I'll let you two be happy. I know you can do it." - I said calmly this time and continued to look at her. "I don't realy know Nethillon..this..Army..rumours.." - She then looked away from me - "I fear the worst. I sometimes wonder..what would have happened if I'd have met you first." - She glanced down then before continuing - "And I am already breaking you. Living with empty heart..looking how time passes and fading away is a terrible fate to anyone." - She finished speaking with a worried tone. I looked into her eyes again. "No one knows about me. And no one would know about you two. And it is not your fault. I will live until my time passes and you can always count on me no matter what. That would never change." - I said calmly once again and I was sure of my words. "And your happiness? You deserve to be happy too." - She then continued. I knew what I needed to say but that was feeling not right at that moment. I felt like I'm going to lie. "Maybe someday I will." - I then said and I knew that was the best choice. She looked at me seriously and I glanced back at her. "I shouldn't have come here. It's these things that break friendships and even armies." - She answered but was already both sounding and looking so sad. Anyway, that was a thing I was sure about. "Nothing can break your and mine, even that stupid love of mine." - I said with a serious tone. Nothing was more sure than this. "Stupid? Its never stupid. But deadly." - She then answered and began to tell me her story. Both moving and sad. Destructible and beautiful. I would never forget it nor tell it to anyone. "If id only be able to love anyone fully. Nethillon, I am so sorry for everything." - She then said with a deep, sad tone finishing her story. I shook my head and continued to look at her. "Don't be. You did nothing wrong." - I answered then and continued to listen to her words. "I love that man, in my own way. And you, are still dear to me." - She finished speaking and then moved her hand towards me, like she tried to touch me but something held her from doing it. I looked into her eyes again. "I just hope that he will treat you as good as you deserve. You are and will be dear to me until my death. If I cannot be the right one, at least I can be a friend that can support you in all hard times." - I said resting my hand on her shoulder as a sign of my full support. She laid her hand on mine after a moment. "Do not waste your life Nethillon." - She said then with a brief, light smile. "It will never be a waste, and I think you know it." - I said with a light smile I had on my face for a moment. "Stay safe and don't close your heart from others." - She said calmly once again. "Time will show what needs to be done." - I then started speaking. After a moment I pulled a piece of parchment with my next location from my pocket and passed it to her before speaking again. - "If you'll ever need me, just let me know or come...Now you'll know where to find me." - I said and she looked at me solemnly while taking the parchment. "I know we will meet tomorrow in the village and after that we will see." - I spoke once more. The ranger then nodded. She looked like she was feeling so bad at that moment. "I need to do preparations for tomorrow." - She said calmly and then I hugged her friendly and held her in my arms for a moment. "Please take care. And I'll always be by your side my dear ranger..." - I said with a smile. "Stay safe, stay safe.." - She kept repeating and I could feel that she was holding back the tears. I could even feel that some tears already escaped my eyes as well. Then I felt her hands on my face as she wiped away my tears. "I need to go. Me gil..." - The ranger then finished speaking with elvish. "Please, stay happy. You're never going to lose a friend." - I answered then on the edge of tears as I boarded the ship. "Nin mellon..." - I heard her last words before the ship started to depart I felt bad for her. For both of us this was so hard, but I knew that we can go through it.
