We had a good sleep in Oserley. Father counted our supplies and deemed that we are still able to continue our journey to Forlaw in Wildermoore without buying any supplies. The road was smooth, it wasn't as laden with footsteps as the road before Oserley was, however, the evil-looking tracks were still there, which had concerned me. I spoke to father about it and he had thought about it as well.
'Hmm, this bodes ill. We shall try to avoid getting off the road then, as there are many dangers lurking in the forests and fields nearby, orc-ambushers alongside wargs or simply wolves or beasts. Whatever you do, stay upon the road, no matter what besieges you, or halts you, or stops you. Just. Stay. On. The. Road.' The last words of this sentence were the most sternest I'd ever hear. I pondered upon what he meant by that but dismissed it. His words were quick and stern, yet slow and kind, in more ways than one. It was odd, but then again, we were going to Wildermoore. Some say Wilderemoore itself is odd. Which probably is true, but we'll have to decide that once we arrive there.
'Perhaps we should have our shield and spear ready incase something is near father, as the tracks does indeed bode ill." said Sigehelm.
'Indeed. That would be wise. Ready yourselves for combat, if need be, and get your shields and spears out in visible view, perhaps that will make who or whatever nearby hesitate.' There was some logic behind this plan, but still, I do not believe whatever is nearby would hesitate to ambush just due to this. We shall have to see though.
Within time, we had arrived at Thornhope, after crossing the river. We saw no further sign of the tracks, and were glad. Thornhope was much quieter than some of the other towns we had visited, which was also good. We quickly went to the tavern, rented a room and got some drinks and meal, and spoke about our plans. I, however, went to sleep as quickly as I could. I was tired, and needed to think in my sleep.
