Aeroden's Journal, Entry 6

Some time has passed since my last entry, and where do I begin? I look on the previous page of my journal, and see I had not written since the day after Brynleigh had been attacked. I will begin my ramblings and summary from there. Many things have happened, my emotions and mind changing. One of them being peace, though I will get to that later.

After my last entry, I decided to try and lift Brynleigh's spirits with a picnic, staying within Hookworth of course. I sadly could offer little more than bread and cheese, though I did manage to gather enough coin for wine, albeit a very small bottle of it. It was a peaceful evening, until something again happened between us. I will... Try to write as little as possible of times such as these. I will only say our friendship has deepened, and has grown stronger based on communication and understanding.

Ah, I have had the chance to meet new faces! One of them being a man Brynleigh had feared was gone, by the name of Leoffrith. Stout man, noble protector I would think, and had just returned from a trip to my home, Dol Amroth. Another face is Jonnathan, a jolly sort of fellow, who seems to bring a smile to those present around him. There is also Adriellyn, a woman who has faced much sorrow, and seems capable of fighting better than even most, if not all, of the men I have met. There is also... Neremnes, I believe. Another who calls Dol Amroth their home, who has actually been on one of those incredible ships I used to see in port! Another woman, by the name of Leonnie, seems to be another long-resident of Hookworth, hailing from Combe.

I enjoyed yet another meeting at the Pony had occured, with Leoffrith, Adriellyn, and Brynleigh. It was a pleasant evening, involving talk of whether tea or beer is better! The night ended with Leoffrith, having fallen to the effects of beer, leaving the remaining three of us. We soon rode together back to Hookworth, though I had to ride upon Brynleigh's steed, Jack, with her. Immensely odd, since I hardly remember how to ride a horse, and I did not wish to hang onto Brynleigh. This ended with me hanging onto the back of the saddle with my hands, something most uncomfortable I found.

The evening ended in a most... Unexpected way. I rode with Brynleigh to her home, Adriellyn leaving us upon entering the safety of Hookworth. She had dismounted Jack with the grace of an experienced rider, while I, however, had not the slightest idea how to dismount. Brynleigh gave me the instruction on what to do, which ended in me falling far less gracefully on my back. The two of us were laughing, hardly able to catch a breath. After she helped me clean the back of my robes, we said our farewells.

As a final note, I wish to say how much of a... Home, I have found here in Hookworth, even still remaining in the Guest House. One day I wish to perhaps buy a house here, though that wish is still a far off one.
