The festivities have passed, and duty calls once again. The weather is not amenable. There is a cold, miserable rain falling that I wager will soon turn to sleet and ice. I have received word that I am to meet with the arrow-maker and receive a parcel of arrows that is to be taken north into the Downs. I don't think it is entirely selfish of me to wish that it were spring or summer, but I will do what must be done. The goblins care not for the rain and snow and will press their advantage southward if they can. I believe I can reach the encampment before nightfall if I am not waylaid by the weather, but we shall see. Let us hope the men are there and have not encountered trouble of their own.
