Navaer

I knew I would be leaving some day, but now this day has come. Nelson has sent me to the dwarf mountains in the North and I have spent the last two weeks there, enjoying the cold and the snow, but not so much the dwarves. They kept sending me around for stupid things like forgotten pickaxes on the bottom of a cave. Still, I had loads of opportunities to work on my skills while fighting linxes and bears. How nice it was, standing on top of a mountain, looking around at all that snow. It was not as much snow as home in Forochel, but still snow.

Back in Celondim, Nelson was not content and decided to send me to the land of men, to Breeland, before I would be ready to leave for Forochel. I am looking forward to being with others of my kind, but I believe that there is no snow there in and around Bree, so why should I go to train my skills there? But I will trust Nelson's experience and obey his wishes.

I promised Lendaellin that I will send her letters. And then I went for a last evening walk through Celondim. Breathing in the flowery air, enjoying the beautiful sights, listening to the sound of the wind in the trees and the purling of waves down at the harbour. Down at the harbour I also thought of the meeting I had there. Of ice-bay blue eyes. The meeting that changed my life so much. Will the picture of this elf always stay in my heart as vivid as it is now? Or will it fade, the farther I am away from the Celondim harbour where we have met? I guess I will find out soon. But I will never forget this elf, his kindness and his understanding, and this pair of blue eyes, that made me dream about Forochel.
