Presenting the 9th Annual Great Elven Ball

It has been eight years since the launching of first Great Elven Ball. Which started as a one shot, modest and elven centric RP dancing event, aimed to quell hostility and bitterness that was prevalent in the Elven RP back in 2008. And since then and as the years passed it was turned into the longest lasting and (possibly) the largest synchronised dance events in LOTRO. The event, the surroundings, the music, the dances have all evolved and improved from its original setting and through the attendance and supervision of Laurelin Elven Community it has made seven sequels every year between Autumn and Winter. Now we are proudly presenting you the NINTH!

Spectators are required to attend in Dresses, Hauberks, Uniforms and Robes (Not bathrobes) and will be given positions and correct timing by the Dancemaster / Dancemistress. Which would result a marvel in sight, up to fourty elves can be seen dancing the same steps synchronically. If not dancing you can catch the latest rumour in the elven community, drink, eat and share a laughter with your long lost relatives

Violence and bad behaviour is strictly forbidden and famed Hammer company of Vanimar is tasked to keep the meeting civil and non violent (oh the irony). Non elves are not encouraged to attend. However if they have a good reason, they can explain their presence to the front door and seek permission for an entry and invitation there.

The Ninth Annual Great Elven Ball awaits you. Please as you have done kindly in the last eight years, consider that this event is aimed to be an elven themed event and every non-elf you bring would make it seem less elven. If you are not particularly invited with your Dunedain, Men, Your Dwarves or Hobbits and if you have a proper elven alt, it would be very helpful to attend with them instead of your mighty humans, dwarf lords or hobbitses. Still its up to you! (if you want to explain your presence to Veryacano at the gate and to his cold Hammerites)

We do kindly await your arrival and yours at the event. Some of you have received in game Invitations and even in some cases, Personally inviting Order of Harp Envoys, and some have not. To clarify things, we want to declare that this is still and open event with some racial limitations and any elf who wish to come to see the biggest and largest synchronised dancing display won't be turned down. 

As usual we consider that the event actually is taking place in Rivendell indoors despite the Falathlorn adress, so lets all pretend that our kinhall is a venue somewhere in the valley. This is due to a measure towards containing possible grieving attempts. In a real venue in Rivendell we have no buttons to contain a bad situation, and Falathlorn is a bridge too far. So no need to perform a 2 week long pilgrimage to dance in character. If you are in Rivendell come! If not, come again!
