Trust. Trust is like sugar work on a cake. It takes a great deal of time to construct with a careful hand, and the end result is a wonder to behold. A very marvel indeed, a thing not missed by any eye, which instead are drawn to it, hoping one day to have something like that for themselves, to share with another in the joy of the art of it and the happiness that comes from its taste. And yet, what took so long to create may be chipped by a single careless action. In its making, a moment too soon from the heat could ruin the texture, a single bump to the hand would ruin the design. An impulsive action, a single movement out of place or out of time could shatter the finished piece. Can it be fixed?
Trust is like a work of embroidery. At first, the end picture cannot be seen, hardly conceived, but as each new stitch is made, a form begins to emerge and be understood. Inevitably, there will be some pain, a needle's prick that may even touch cuts of the past, but the finished product makes it all worth it. Each stitch leads to the next, creating an intricate pattern, both beautiful and strengthened. However, if one stitch were to tear, perhaps something was tugged too tightly or too quickly, or perhaps it snagged of the thorn of a rose, all those around it loosen and start to become undone. The damage can be arrested, a knot tied in the broken thread to keep it from further unraveling, but one cannot use the same string to repair the damage.
