It was one of those days, where Lana went out to the woods to do her usual business - a check up on the Brigands-situation in the Chetwood, before she'd probably loot a few things to get back to her boss. It's not that he made it easy for her to please him, but guild was guild and the payment was better than nothing.
It was okay, at a certain point you just learn how to co-op with the things you do and then it doesn't bother you anymore, that it might ruin another one's life.
Lana wasn't thinking about that at all, but was surprised to find the ministrel near the camp of the Brigands.
Arathyr was playing in the Comb and Wattle Inn the other day and was atleast friendly enough to give her his name, when she first saw him in the Prancing Pony. A determined young man, who wanted to right a book about the adventures he'd have or something like that? A poet of some sort, that much was clear and Lana liked the ambitious smile on his face, when he eagerly asked her to help him out with the Brigand stalking.
It was an easy task and a welcomed change, so why not?
Accompanied by two others, a rather tall man from Gondor, named Sardan and a more silent type of man, named Anartil (also gondorian), they ventured on. Lana never thought of this as anything special, after all, it's what she did almost everyday, but it allowed the three men to feel like true heroes, to keep those nasty Brigands from marching into Bree for another day.
It was adorable how excited they were about the things that happened there, atleast that's what Lana thought, while she was inspecting her new companions for what they're having on them. It's never wrong to see what might be yours soon, right?
She didn't even try to make them like her, instead she was just her rather sceptical self, but it was enough to make them want her to spend more time with them and to dig deeper into the stuff that is about to happen around Bree.
It was a welcomes change, a change of pace in her everyday life and a change of tone from what she's used from men in Bree-Land.
As the days passed by, she often found herself surrounded by them, only to investigate more into the happenings around Bree. Never in her life has she been more interested in it, than at that time and then again, maybe she was just seeing a chance to flee her life? At least for a little? Could she just leave Bree behind and actually travel with them, only to see where the road would lead them?
She wasn't sure if she could really just trust them or if this was about to become another big disappointment in her life.
