A Distant Memory

Kalsak, bedridden from being sick, laid in bed as it were Raven's orders. The smell of pine and lavender wafted into his nose, helping him to relax. He had wondered if Raven was doing okay. He felt as if Raven had things in his mind, causing him to worry. To him, it felt something distracted Raven other than his daughter, though he did not know what. A faint memory had tugged on him of seeing Raven going to the back of the Pony with some...woman that distinctly looked like a Rohirrim. Worry had tugged on his mind, wondering of what would happen between him and Raven. He sighs and closed his eyes in order not to think about it anymore, drifting off to sleep.

In his dream, he did not find himself in Annuminas as he always did. Instead, he found himself traveling on the road away from Evendim and towards the Shire. He donned his brown hauberk and hooded cloak with his two blades on both sides of him. He watched as his companion from Annuminas converse with two others that were traveling with them, both from that small place of Ost Forod. One of them was a woman that had brown hair and eyes, donning a dress. Kalsak knew that she wanted to bed him by the look she had often given him. The other was a man, muscular in stature, though compared to Kalsak, he would have seemed easy to take care of if things would go into an unfortunate situation.

"Once we get to Bree-land, that would be the time we go separate ways." The man said in a gruff voice. "It's been nice to have you both to protect us the way you did but we don't need to be protected all the time."

"Fine by me." Kalsak looked at the man, an unconcerned look in his eyes. "We have certain business to do anyways."

The group had set up their camp once the sun was setting. By the time it did, they were about a quarter of the way through the Shire, being bothered by the little people from time to time. Making sure that the others were sleeping, Kalsak made his way away from them so he could think. His gaze went to the east, towards the direction of Bree-land according to the maps they had looked.

"In Bree-land, there is Bree..." Kalsak muttered to himself. "City of possibilities, huh..."

Kalsak opened his eyes before sitting up in bed, pondering of the dream. Bree truly had given him many possibilities, meeting people that would be considered as friends or, in a case like Raven's, people that he would care about deeply that he would not want to let go. He closed his eyes, strongly wishing for none of those would ever go away so that he would not be alone again.
