Ventris Journal, Entry Five

Entry: Fifth Dated: 9th of August Subject: Change of plans I have been rather busy of late, too busy in fact to even sit down and place my thoughts into pages. The Summer Ball will not be happening, after all. It is good that I have not put up hiring requests; it would have been a waste of time for everyone. *Flashes a look upstairs at the sound of coughing, getting up and leaving the journal for some time before returning* The reasons of the Ball being canceled is that Lendil has come down very sick. This is his first illness and we are assured that he will recover; his body just needs to build its defenses. Every time Lendil coughs or starts to cry, me and Lendes are awake in an eye blink. Both of our tempers have been running on an knife edge as well, namely for the lack of sleep. *Takes a sip of water next to him, keeping an eye on the staircase* I will try and keep on top of this journal.
