Malliel's Diary: Entry 14

It is almost time. Soon, I shall finally meet my child. I still linger within the homeland. As I write this, I am sitting beside the fount of the Lord and Lady. The water here is cool and refreshing, which I often find myself drinking.

Baingol has been looking after me, ever so attentatively. He will not allow me to fetch anything for myself and always insists I am seated. He is and will be a glorious father. Our child will be so lucky!

Though filled with happiness, my thoughts always linger on Tinuvinil. He has been summoned over the river, to Greenwood. He has been gone several weeks. I do hope all is well with him. I have received no letter... My thoughts are also with Mithanor, my dear friend. She must miss her beloved so much. I have not seen her in some time. I do hope I will see her again soon, as I enjoy our time together. She is so fair and her voice is like a flowing river. Her singing is out of this world. Perhaps I should seek her out, I am sure she is feeling lonely and would appreciate the company.

I must lay aside my quill for now, to rest.
