Entry: Second
Dated: 8th of July
Subject: The Summer Ball (Part one)
*Isilorbor sits outside on the golden bench by the waterfall near his house, a glass of cold water stilling by his side along with his usually writing equipment*
The days since my last entry have been busy to say the least, and I fear that we have not finished yet. Lendes insisted that we leave the House for a few days to get out of people’s way as their reformed the House to better suit the Ball’s theme (Being Summer). We rented a small house in Combe, and by small, two bedrooms and a living space.
*Looks up at the waterfall with a smile and tips some water into his mouth*
It was a pleasant stay, but Lendil was unused to the new area and slept with me and Lendes for the duration. I think it was the dogs barking that scared him, personally. Not that I blame him, I was tempted myself to kick a number of those annoying rants in the mouth for denying me of sleep.
*Turns his head slightly at his own words, hovering his quill to line them out, but grins and carries on*
With the House now finished, saved for one or two minor details (Lendes demanding to see to those) the following days will be spent on looking for suitable staff to serve drink and food to the guests. I have been thinking, and others have voiced my thoughts, of asking Butterbur’s Staff. Perhaps I will, they are all trust worthy and very good at their jobs.
*Watches as Lenwenn rolls a ball a bit too far and taps his foot. Smiling as he see’s her playing with her puppy, he takes the ball resting on his foot and throws it towards Lenwenn and watches the puppy dart to get it with a warm chuckle*
I doubt that guards will be needed for the Ball. After all, I will have Zelderan and Boremor there, what could possibly go wrong that the three of us cannot solve? Hopefully there will not be a repeat of two drunks trying to win Lenwenn’s hand in marriage…
*Rolls his eyes in memory of that little outcome and dips his quill into his ink well*
The hour is fast approaching and I must see a healer about my nightmares. I will add more on my nightmares on my next entry.
*Waits for the ink to dry and closes the book with a sigh, getting up and walking back into the House with dread in his stomach and iron in his step*
