Dance For the New Captain of The Dawn

Ah, after so much pain I thought today I would share some of Falra’s more whimsical exploits. Like she got a Dread Captain of The Bloody Dawn to dance. You see The Bloody Dawn was a group of heartless mercenaries that took life for coin. Nothing was sacred to them, not even your child. That is if you were believe the words of a few, but to someone like Falra, they were like family to her. They killed the Master, they worked hard to keep her safe, and when she got hurt, they mourned for her pain. Basaran was no different than so many of the others. From her mouth, she told me he was enjoyable to look at, and even more wonderful when he blushed or squirmed under a lass’ scrutiny.

Since falra had met him she had tried to get him to dance for her. It was a continuous joke she shared with Taala from her time spent planning on what to do about the Master. She asked, she pouted, she even gave him her best doe eyes and he wouldn’t budge. Fal was like a cat with a new toy when it came to getting him to dance. Finally one day she came up with a plan. She found many of the Dawn’s company at the Dawn Hall, they were repainting it. Falra never understood why it had been painted pink, nor that someone outside the Dawn had done it, but she bought the paint and had it sent to the hall some days ago after hearing Basa complain about its colour. While watching them work, she quietly waited till they took a break. This was when she pounced on Basa and started her evil plan to get him to dance!

Since he removed the top part of his tunic to let it drape around his waist she had to search for the golden signet that marked him as the leader of the Dawn. He asked her what she was doing and she innocently told him that she was looking for what marked him as the Captain of the Dawn. He let her know it was indeed the signet and even pointed her to which side it was in his mess of clothing. Finding it, she held it up like it was a trophy to been seen by all. Keeping it locked in her small hands she quickly moved over to Tal and handed it to her. “Tal is Captain now. Tal can make all pretty men in Dawn dance for Fal.” Bursting with her child like grin she looked down at Basa. She had check mated him this time. This time he will dance for her.

True to her own mischievous nature Tal ordered the men to dance for Fal. Basaran shot Fal a pout, only to have her return with one of her own. The order had been given, Tal was now Captain and the recruits had to listen to their Captain. It wasn’t till a man she knew not walked down from painting, also bare chested and put his hand out to Basaran that the dance began. It wasn’t what she had expected at all. Basa was twirled in and out of the man’s arms. He looked more like a rag doll than a dancer. She had hopes to see what she had when in the sands to the south. She had been taught how to move her hips, to sway, and roll her stomach, she had seen men dance furiously to a hard thumping feeling she felt within her chest when they danced. This.. this was two men spinning around. Even though it wasn’t what she expected she still enjoyed it a great deal and clapped jumping up and down when it was done. After all had calmed down she returned Basa’s Captain signet back to him. He was after all the Captain of the Dawn, Ero had told her that there was yet one more thing that made him so. Something that made it so Tal could never be the Captain since it was something girls were not born with. This was a new thing to learn about. Fal had found the perfect cat toy after all.
